Here's the problem. The Irish pound has hit an all time low against
Sterling i.e I get 88pence for each of my Irish pounds. Up to this I have
enjoyed a one to one exchange or even a little more at times. It looks
however that this poor rate will be with us for some time. You may well
have guessed the problem, I buy all parts for my restoration from England,
either Moss, Revington or once from TR Bitz. I was wondering would it be
worth my while to start buying from the States as the rate is more
favourable and postage is not excessive. Also as far as I know I would not
pay V.A.T on goods from the States as I do from G.B. Anyone any thoughts on
this matter, any advice on a supplier etc, possible pitfalls. All welcome
