TR3 boot lid seal

I'm just finishing fabricating the side areas of the TR3 body where the
boot lid seals go. Looking at the seal itself, I realize that I have no
idea how this thing fits in (not only was there no seal on my car when I
got it, there was very little left of the rails that it fits in).

Does the small side go into the slot? The large side? does the other
side face toards the edge of the boot lid ot towards the center?

Anyone know?
