Hello list,
Well I finally got it home. It is my 1979 TR7. Inca yellow, brown interior.
107k. Exterior is a little rough. Basically just surface rust. One of two
spots where it is actually rusted through, not too bad of shape though.
Interior is in great shape, except for seats. Dash looks new except for
gaping hole left by radio, which I need if any one has a used one just
sitting around. Engine runs fine. No dreaded white smoke. The adventure to
get this was great. 300 miles one way. Quite a hike. Now for some
questions: 1. It has a black plastic strip with chrome about a half an inch
wide running from front wheel well along car to back and the steering wheel
has the small pad in the center instead of the large one with Triumph written
on it. Is this a special model? Like Anniversery? 2. There is a small black
box on it about 4 inches by 3 inches and one inch thick and says "Piranha
Ignitions" on it and has about 5 or 6 wires running to and from it. What
could this be? 3. The back carb has no choke module on it. Should it have
one? It also looks like it has no cover on it where the choke module would
bolt on. 4. Last question(for now) I haven't named it yet and I am open to
suggestions. Thanks ahead of time,
                                   Danny & John Burket
