Hi all, Terrick here with a synopsis of replies to my post about how to
solve power loss in long left hand bends.
Thanks to all for their replies.... the concensus is that it IS fuel
related, and most likely is starvation because fuel slosh shuts the grose
jets off when the floats are pushed up by the sloshing fuel.
This problem has been reported in varying degrees by others and seems to be
related to <very> spirited driving...it has been reported as long as 20
years ago. There is apparently no <real> cure, though I have been
referred to an SCCA guru brother of a 'lister who likely has the answer.
Hopefully, cubic dollars will not be required nor will i be asking him for
the secrets of the 'killer motor...just one that keeps me in front of that
damn Honda.
...see. it's not just Miatas that can be dissed!
...and, by the way, FYI, we have a Turboed "ersatz Lotus" on Yokohama A
008's, Tokiko Illumina's, etc, that will turn lap times as fast as most GT
2 cars at the Gimli race facility. With the top down. With the A/C on.
With a passenger. Without a hiccup. Then he pulls into the pits. He
still has brakes. It isn't overheating. It idles like a stock car - yes,
it <sounds> like a stock car too. All that cost him the car plus about 6
grand, ie about 20k Canadian. Installed.
It's only a "boring imposter" until the turbo kicks in - then, I'd trade
it for anything with 8 cylinders because he WILL keep up...and then drive
around him in a corner. If they were only still making TR8's.....

"speed is good".
PS: I DO have Nomex on.
