Pete,
I thought stainless steel braided hoses were just rubber hoses
sheathed in braided stainless steel. If this is the case, this means
that the braided hoses are still prone to rubber-rot and collapsing,
but they do have the advantage of being nearly impervious to being
cut by flying stones (or overzealous body-workers) and enhanced pedal
"feel".
Am I incorrect on this and braided lines are lines with
something other than rubber?
Regardless, we should all replace those 20-year-old hoses
anyway.
