I have an early TR-250 (CD255) with the dreaded rust problem. I want to
tackle the major structural problems (frame good) in the rocker area.
This entails replacing floors, inner and outer rockers, rear B-posts, and
probably the front inner fenders. While the obvious problem involves
financing these repairs, I want to know whether I should replace these
with the tub on the frame or not? The doors don't align when closed and I
hope to solve this problem with some of the replacement metal. Any
suggestions from those backyard mechanics who have performed these repairs
would be appreciated.
