My 5 year old daughter and I have been playing a little game lately picking
out the color red I will repaint my TR 250. Little does she know the car will
be Signal Read (code 32) whether she likes it or not (she doesn't really care
as long it is not to dark or not to light).
My question to the list is does anyone know the correct DUPONT paint code
for Signal Red. The VTR Maintenance Page has the 1965 code as 83733-H, chip
467, while Ken Streeter's article on painting TR 6s does not list a code for
this red (I think that it was used up to 1972). Does anyone know if there is
any difference in the 1965 paint codes (or color) compared with what was used
in later years?
