TR6 battery cable

I recently bought a negative battery cable from TRF to replace the one
provided by the DPO.  However, I am surprised to find I don't know where
it connects!.  The braided cable has two lugs for connecting to something....  

>From the catalog drawing I assumed it connected to the body and the
engine (via the valve cover bolts), however the lugs are too close
together for that.

Any suggestions?
