Yes as long as commision number plate's haven't been changed. When I bought
my 63 it was really a 70 body with a 65 bonnet - I knew it when I bought it
and didn't care as I only wanted the registration. The car was a weck. The
MK3 has the front bumber mounted high sort of in the middle of the grill
above the turn signals, referred to as the bone in teeth mounting in some
publications. The MK2's have the bumper mounted lower near the bottom of
the grill below the turn signals. The newer motor/transmission unless mated
to the early tranny will have synchromesh on all forward gears vs. the
eariler synchromesh on only 2nd thru 4th. Hopefully the P.O. didn't just
put in the newer motor without swapping the trans. and rear end as well -
