I was driving around in my spitfire the other day when I stopped at someone's
house who was working on an MGA I'd always been curious about. As it happened,
he has a set of five wire wheels for the spitfire, complete with hubs and
knockoffs. The tires appear in decent condition, and the wheels look good, as
well. However, I do not know what I would be looking for as far as bad wires
go. Can anyone help me here? Also, what would be a fair price for the wheels?
I can't help but love the weather here in Iowa. Yesterday, it was sunny and the
temp was in the 70¡s. Today, the temperature topped out in the upper 40¡s, has
been raining all day, and there have even been brief bouts of snow! Oh well, I
guess it helps keep me focused on school.
Also, I bought one of the seal kits for the spitfire from VB last year, but
still haven't figured out where one of the seals goes. The tag on it says
DT10-4, but I haven't been able to locate the number in their catalogue. Sure,
I could simply call the company, but it hasn't been all that pressing a matter.
Anyone know the answer off hand?
Would anyone know why my car starts rumbling much more than normal when I go
above 50mph in fourth gear?
Gee, it's as though I expect you all to have the answers...
Thanks!
