This is a question which maybe only the Canadian members can answer.
It's apparent that when government regulations were imposed in the U. S.,
foreign manufacturers used the same restrictions on cars made to be sold in
Canada. This is obviously because the U. S. market is so much larger
than the Canadian market. My question is, did the Canadian government
impose similar regulations at about the same time as the U. S. or were
Canadian regulations different enough that either Canadian dealers had to
make additional modifications or Canadian owners could reverse some of
the changes for better performance?
