Hi, gang. I finally made it back to the list. Here's a little update
on all the fun and excitement since I was on the list.

'59 Triumph 10:
Still your basic basket case, with no change over the fall/winter. The
body is still waiting for the sills to be welded in with some fairly
minor repair to come before the paint. Then all that's left is the
mechanical and interior! She'll get there but it may take a while
because...

'72 TR-6 OD modified autocrosser:
This was my only running car last fall so I drove it longer into the
cold months than I would have liked. This resulted in an oaf in a full
size van backing into me while waiting in a left turn lane. Of course,
his bumper was well above the bumper on my lowered TR. Luckily the body
shop and the insurance adjuster didn't really question anything and we
settled quickly. This was very lucky because two weeks later while
cruising at 30mph in 4th a connecting rod went (at least that's the
indication, I haven't torn it down yet). I'm trying to decide between
fixing the engine, including balancing, or a Ford 302. Any constructive
opinions or experience on this would be appreciated. This lead to...

'86 Dodge Shelby Charger:
Had to quickly get the new turbo installed and everything buttoned up.
I had several problems, some related to being in a hurry, some related
to the timing mark being 180 degrees off! Sure there's one in the right
spot too, but who knew? Spent about an hour considering how to track
down and inflict painful but non-lethal injuries on a certain UAW
member. Anyway it runs, but the waste-gate isn't quite right. That
didn't seem important until I realized autocross season is upon us.

'88 Sterling 825SL:
Ran away with wife =:-o

So, good news or not, I'm back! I'm looking forward to some Triumph
talk, especially since it will be awhile before I get to drive one
again.
