Sorry it took so long to answer. They actually had me doing work here (got
a little busy)! Go figure :-) !
The vertical links (the assy that the axle hub pivots in, connects to the
spring and the lower shock mounting ) are the same for ALL Spitfires, The
difference besides axles in the "longer" swing spring setup is the radius
rods (longer), and the radius arm bracket that mounts to the body tub
(slightly different angle). As for your clearance problems with your
wheels, I can't figure that one out. The calipers are the same for MK 3 and
later up until the end of production. I have GT6 calipers and rotors on
mine (even larger than Spitfire) and never had a clearance problem!
Something sounds fishy - TR6 maybe, though doubtful -
