Martin, The badging for the '70 was different all around - maybe he is refering to that. A "set" for the '70 would be the bull's-eye for the bonnet, the black rectangular "TRIUMPH" badge on the boot lid, and the two trapezoidal "Spitfire" badges on the rear wings under the side marker lights.
