The ties I've seen on the rubber bump stop to diff. are not wire but a flat
steel strap,OH about  1.4 in wide which goes through a sort of fold back on
itself belt buckle affair.  I'm not sure you can still buy these things but
maybe in your spare parts pile theres susch an animal.  I've bead blasted
them and they look very presentable and work fine.

Am I mistaken or weren't those 'buckle' straps originally intended to hold
the hydraulic pipes in place against the axle?  The rubber bump stops are
held in place with wire not unlike (indistinguishable some might say...)
that used to wire up potato sacks a few years back...and maybe still?

The buckle straps and the potato wire are both still available from Moss &
TRF respectively.
