In order: Yes; Yes; Yes; No (from VTR's Web site -- FD1-15306 [through
1968 model year]; FD20000-51967 [through 1969 model year]; FD75000-92803
[1970 model year]); numbers probabaly ARE interspersed, perhaps at random;
Probably yes, although there might be different numbering for cars
assembled other than in Coventry ("1" before the commission number on some
Spitfires assembled in Belgium).

Ah, yes. One of my pet peeves, which leads to one of my goals as VTR
President -- to help address the problem of lack of documentation on
U.S.-destined models.
