I never had to actually get the Farm Use tags, but was prepared to if I had
gotten a complaint.
I had the advantage of living on 4 acres when in Virginia Beach and 5 acres now
in Suffolk.
Having a horse or a pony helps.

I have lived most of my life in rural areas, having been raised on a 200 acre
farm.

Where we shop, it is common to see Farm Use tags for sale. I am used to seeing
"Farm Use" on the
back of various types of vehicles. I have assumed that similar farm use is
available in places
other than Virginia, but I don't know that.

Thought it might be helpful to others, though not in a suburban development.

On a related note, I can recall purchasing the remains of 2 TR3s from a
gentleman in Virginia
Beach (about 15 years ago). He had substantial acreage, but fancy houses had
been built all
around him.. He had around 30 cars enclosed in a building, but probably
another 30 that were
visible to his new neighbors.

The city gave him 10 days to be rid of those that were exposed, and appeared
that they would not
pass inspection.

He sold off some, and others went to the crusher. :-(>

I think to spite his neighbors, he moved some his nastier-looking vehicles (but
looked as though
they would pass inspection) out to the street, where they could more easily be
seen.

That was sufficient for the city of Virginia Beach at the time, but I assume
that has now
changed.
