Buying a Spit

Can anyone help me ? I am intending,  in the next few weeks to buy
a Triumph Spitfire 1500.  I am not all that familiar with the 
problem areas to look for when buying one.

Can anyone provide me with a list of 10 or 20 key points to look 
for ?
