Hi listers,
OK, so I'm a real newbie. Bought a TR3 last month (it's a '61 so that
makes it a TR3A?). First Triumph I've owned since the Spitfire I bought in
'67. (I didn't say I was young).
I just pulled the front wheel so I could reinstall the fender mirrors the
DPO (I figured out that means the very nice intellegent person I bought the
car from, right?) took off. The DPO told me that he had replaced the
original lug nut type of wheels with TR4or6 wire wheels. I remember from
my youth that knock off hubs were supposed to be quick to remove and
replace- this one was rather difficult to pull. To get to the point-
should the hubs be greased or lubricated in any way before re-mounting???
How do I know if I pounded the spinner on tight enough?
It's supposed to be a nice day here in the SFO bay area and I'm looking
forward to taking a little spin, so if anyone's listening, thanks for a
quick reply.
