Thanks. That looks to be the culprit, having found BOTH axle shaft
u-joints had cup play. You learn something new every day! What a great source
these lists are! Thank you all (esp. MJB) and Happy New Year

John Kipping sells these oversize circlips for about 25 pence each, although I
think it's a bit overkill to buy these from here!!! ;-) There isn't a great
deal of difference in size, I have actually used 2 oversized clips AND a shim
before, perhaps it WAS time for a new yoke after all, I ended up trashing that
yoke when I very childishly <G> did a wheel spin leaving a petrol station and
elongated to holes!!!!
