I just thought of another thing to check- If the vent tube on the bottom driver's side of the engine is plugged, it could cause smoke to accumulate in the crankcase, which would then come up out of the filler cap. Regarding "normal" smoke, I've never seen any on my 3's, and certainly have never seen enough on any 3 to cause smoke to come up from under the hood (bonnet) when they are turned off Paul |
