I read somewhere that BMW purchased the Rover Group.  The Rover Group
bought the pieces of British-Leyland, and as you know, they were the
ones that swallowed most of the companies that produced the lbc's we
love.  
Now I remember, it was a TRF newsletter.  I don't necessarily think
reproducing our beloved marques will be a bad thing.  I think it will
make our ORIGINAL cars worth that much more!
