The major revision I know of for the U.S. came only with the "Federal" 1969
Mk.3 models, with the dreaded Clear Hooters rocker switch in the center
of the dash and the dip/main column switch for the headlamps.

The door latch/handle change did not take effect immediately upon
changeover from "Mk.1" to Mk.2 Spitfire. Good visual evidence of that
was in a recent issue of _Triumph World_. I don't know exactly when the
change occured, but I think it was not all that far into Mk.2 production.
