Steve, I'm impressed; a man with a lot of old cars and a very young wife! Everybody has problems with those damn things. Some folks heat them in a microwave, boiling water, etc. but I just trim the portion that SHOULD go through the bulkhead with a sharp knife, heat 'em with a shop light and beat 'em in.
