The short answer is that a fortnight is two weeks. 

So, the conversion:
        60 mph -> furlongs per fortnight

        8 furlongs per mile
        24 hours per one day
        14 days per one fortnight

Thus, to convert miles per hour to furlongs per fortnight,
        N mph *
         8 furlongs per mile *
         24 hours per day *
         14 days per fortnight = Y furlongs per fortnight

So, 60 mph is 60 * (8*24*14) = 60 * 2688 = 161280 furlongs per fortnight
