Charles,
I am currently using the watterwetter and in my car I see no real
difference. The guy at Moss told me wild stories of using it and the temp
dropping 1/4 of the gauge (in his dream car no doubt). One needle width
might have been more true.
The biggest change in cooling for me was recoring the radiator with an
upgraded core. If memory serves me correctly it has 2 additional rows of
tubes. Ask any reputable radiator shop, they will have them in stock. One
thing to keep in mind is to stress the fact you want the horizontal fins
if you are concerned about the original look. Otherwise you will get the
more common "Z" or "V" looking pattern. While these do offer better cooling
they
will not get you points on the concours.
One other thing that will help is to make sure you have the cardboard
shroud that directs the air to to the radiator from the grill. You can get
these (made in UK) from VB and TRF
Of course if originality is not a concern I have seen some huge
radiators in
SCCA GT6+'s. Again any good radiator shop will be more than glad to build
you the ultimate custom unit. All it takes is dollars or pounds.
Keeping cool,
