Greetings,

My 71 Stag has the original steering wheel with a vinyl wrap installed on the
rim by a DPO. I removed the vinyl wrap to see what was underneath and found
only the plastic/foam rim "core". I am now looking for something nicer to
install on the rim. I have the following questions:

1. What did these cars have on the steering wheel rim from the factory?
2. Was it vinyl or leather?
3. Was it perforated with small holes or solid?
4. Is there an original style replacement available? (from what source?)
5. Has anyone found an aftermarket solid leather (without perforated holes)
wrap that fits the small rim diameter of these steering wheels? If so, who
makes it and where did you get it? The only one that I have found is made for
the thicker rims in modern vehicles.

Thanks in advance for any advice or information that you may have. Cheers!
