(Sorry if this is a double-post, but I don't think it got out the
        first time)

Well, about 6 months ago, I purchased the Colortune thinking
that I would realy go first class in tuning the carbs in my '71 TR6. Last
weekend
I finally got around to using it and I got conflicting results. At idle, the
RPM's decrease when I lift the air valve. According to Bentley, page 221,
this indicates that the air/fuel mixture is weak. However, when I look at
the Colortune, inserted in the appropriate cylinder, it fires yellow indicating
a rich mixture. The car runs OK, but there's a definite "putt-putt" sound at
a frequency of about once per 5 seconds.

Anyone else have these results? Or comments/suggestions?

P.S. I rebuilt both carbs, new points, plugs, condenser, wires,
reconditioned head, new exhaust system. Probably orig coil
             and altenator.

                Thanking in advance,

                Jeff N.
