Eastwood has spot weld drills,,,and having replaced all the rockers
and floors in a GT-6 recently, I can advise they work well.
Good idea to key the drill speed down a little, tho...I used a lot of
the replacable cutting bits due to overheating and dulling!
It is a much neater way to go than patching in pieces (IMHO).

Pat,
At the place I get my bodyshop supplies from, you can purchase
a "spot-weld cutter". This is an ingenius little hole saw-like
drill bit which has replaceable cutting parts. The price is rel-
atively modest and there is a choice of diameters. I have a 1/4"
and 3/8" and they do the job well.
If you'd like, after tomorrow (monday) I could find out the
brand-name for you, for they are at work, not here. I am sure most
any body shop supply store carries them though.
