Am begining to look around the new TR250 and make up my work plan.

Quick question - one that has more to do with my curiousity than with my
rebuild . . . . .

I question the originality of my seats in the 250 . . I had always thought
(and Tom Tweed confirmed) that the TR250 seat was a low backed seat that
tilted forward, allowing access behind the seats, but the back was NOT
adjustable as far as reclining.

The seats I have are low backed, (until I take them apart I won't know if
they have an accomodation for the low headrest or not, as currently done
there is no headrest, nor a hole for one to be inserted) HOWEVER, they have
the black handled lever that allows for them to be tilted up on the INSIDE -
or tunnel side - of the seats (both drivers and passenger) and on the door,
or outside, there is a silver lever that allows for adjustment of the seat
back into a reclining position.

Now, on Grace's 74 TR6 and on both of the 76 TR6's that we owned, both of
these levers were on the same side, being the out, (or door side).

Guesses - the seats were taken apart one time with the black levers put back
in reversed. If this is true, I am still puzzled as to the year of the
seats.

I thought early seats had the high back (definately not what I have) Then
came the later seats that in fact reclined, but had the low head rest.

Guesses, - this is what I have but someone recovered them with out the
headrest, and with out cutting a hole for the headrest to go in. (also
assuming the the black tilt lever was improperly inserted.

QUESTION - has anyone ever heard of seats as I have described them - low
back, no headrest, reclining with the tilt lever on the tunnel side and the
recline lever on the door side.

TIA
