Hi Everyone,
While we're celebrating Queen Victoria's birthday in Canada (it's a national
holiday, I don't think even the Brits celebrate this!), I've got the TR6 up on
jack stands to redo the rear suspension bushings. At the same time, I want to
replace the fuel level sensor which has long ago lost it's will to live (or
float).
In my Hayes Manual (page 80), it says in section 30.4:
"Undo and remove the center capping of the rear elbow rail retaining screws and
slide the capping to one side until its other end is clear of the side capping.
Withdraw the center section."
What does all this mean. The manual has no pictures or references for this
"center capping" and I don't know what or where it is. Help!
The manual seems to indicate that I have to drain and completely remove the tank
to R&R the fuel level sensor. Is there an easier way to do this. Is it
possible to undo the tank and just tilt it to remove the sensor?
Thanks in advance,
Brian Lanoway
