more wheels/tires

Fellow Motorheads,
I have a non-overdrive car. I'd like to slow down the engine at hi-way
speeds. I'd like wire wheels. Would installing 16" spline-drive wires,
Jaguar type, instead of stock type 15" on a TR-250/6 add enough tire
height without raising my center of gravity (I mean the car's) notice-
ably?  I don't expect to run any pylon course this way, but for the
occasional sunday drive, how 'boutt it...
