If you dont remove the rocker panels you shouldnt have to brace the door
opening.
I have replaced floors and rocker panels on both sides of my GT6. When i did
the first side i just took everything out. Took some careful measuring and a
friends help to get things back where they needed to be. On the other side i
spotted the new rocker panel in before taking the floor out and had no
problem.
Just a word of caution from experience.......If you can see the ground
through your floor be prepared to replace at least the inner rocker panel and
the flat brace that sits between the inner and outer panels. Also take a
close look at the floor crosmember.
As far as whole floor vs half floor i would do the whole floor as the cancer
is already in the whole thing and if you are going that far its not really
that much farther to do the job right.
Have FUN!
