Diff lubricant

Worldly Scions,

I don't want to revive the great 'oil' thread again, but I recently
recieved John Kipping's very nice Spitfire /Herald /GT6 /Vitesse
catalog.  There are some good "tech tips' included.  One of which
is to use only oil to GL4 spec. in diffs.  GL5 contains additives
which can attack the copper thrust washers.

I knew this was true for transmissions, but I thought the GL5
EP oil was OK for diffs.  Possibly not.
