All this talk about Redlines makes me wonder how hard would it be to
'convert' a white-wall tire into a 'red-wall'? It seems that 99% of the
205/70-15 tires I have looked at are white-walls which IMHO would look tacky
on a TR-6, so how about converting them to red-walls? Modern tire, tubeless,
not $170/ea, although the red-wall would be a little bit wider than the red-
stripe on the Redlines', etc...
Anyone ever done this? And if so, how. Does it hold up to the elements?
