Alfa?

With my 75  spit fire at least a year off from completion, I have come across a 
73 ALfa spider.  Supposed in great condition but not turned over in five years, 
just like my spit.  Two questions,  1.  What steps do you suggest to do before 
turning over these engines.  2.  Alfa mail list?
