I am writing this for a friend... "I would like to swap a 4 cyclinder engine into a 1975 Triumph Spitfire 1500. I am having problems finding an engine/transmission combo that can go in without frame and hood modifications. I would like to know if anyone has completed an easy and successful swap and if you have what engine/transmission combo have you used?" I will pass on all comments to him if that is o.k. Thank you.
