Instinct tells *me* to only run your engine for a moment or two, just so
you know that you got it all back together right. I wouldn't try to
substitute anything unknown for a proper reseating/re-break-in routine.
Just fire it up long enough to ease your nerves, winterize, and start
the next part of the project... You can seat the rings in the spring.
Everyone else? I've never had the luxury of rebuilding in the
off-season. :(
