At the risk of continuing this thread, I remember seeing film, I think one
from the Children's Film Foundation
made to appeal to 9-13 year olds where a Herald goes over a cliff. Location
was Cyprus I seem to remember.
Having also owned a Mini (voted "Car of the century" by Autocar I think) , I
should just say that my heart breaks everytime I see the end of the Italian
Job... :-(
Richard
PS. It wasn't my *actual* car that was voted car of the century! Mini's as a
model range. FYI Enzio Farrari (sp?) was "Man of the century".

I also remember as a kid watching a film that was set somewhere in Europe(I
think!!!) and involved an early Spitfire and an Austin Healey racing down a
mountain road(Not a very fair race though), anyway, the bad guy in the film had
cut the brake hose of the..........Healey!!! and over the cliff it went(What a
bloody shame). Do you think in years to come we'll see films with MGR V8's
MGF's, TVR Griffiths, etc being dumped over cliffs?
I can't even contemplate how many MkII and S-type Jags have 'died' this way,
anyone seen '11 Harrow House'?
