You know, the question about shipwright's disease shows up so often that I
wonder if someone could update the sol terminology page to include the
term?
Let's say that a mast on a ship has developed a crack. The shipwright goes
below deck to fix the mast. He notices that the mast footing needs to be
adjusted and since he has to readjust the mast footing he might as well
caulk the hull underneath the footing and if he's going to caulk the hull
he might as well re-seal the keel. The shipwright went down to fix one
thing and winds up rebuilding the whole boat from the keel up. Get it?
Every LBC owner suffers from this terrible affliction.
