Hi Everyone,

In an attempt to increase the power of my '74 TR6, I find myself toying
with the idea of replacing the Strombergs for something that will deliver
better performance (street-legal that is).

1) First off, is there a usual upgrade that some or many of you have already
   done?

2) I've heard that I could use a carb from an older Volvo, that has a Stromberg
with a slightly larger diameter. Has anyone done this?

3) I'm also thinking of Webers (side-draft or perhaps even the SK). But my
local British Car Guru told me that Webers tend to burn out the engine.
Any truth to this? What are the pros and cons of Webers?

4) Aside from carburator enhancements, what other solutions are there?

Thanks in advance,

Looking at making my "15 minutes of fame" involve a TR6, a high-speed
car chase and perhaps even the local constabulary!
