HA!  You think you are joking, but my '51 Bentley has a positive chassis 
lubrication system.  An oil tank and pump sits on the firewall.  the first 
time each morning you start the car, you are supposed to step on the pedal 
and operate the pump for one stroke; this sends oil down an amazing array of 
tubes to all parts of the car and squirts oil on moving parts.

So, yes, it really was DESIGNED to drip oil...
