Well, I never built the cam-and-trip-hammer device that attaches
to the right front wheel and whacks the carbs as you drive to
loosen your float valves. (Apologies and thanks to whoever I
stole that idea from...I think it might have been Scott Fisher #1
but I've long since forgotten.)
Anywho, I'm getting a little fed up with having a carb shut down
as I drive, and having to get out and whack it with a mallet to
get it going again. I'm using a bit of top-end lubricant in
the fuel but it's not helping. I've ordered a couple of Grose-Jets,
god knows they're cheap enough, but I'm wondering if there's any
way to cure the originals of their habit of sticking. Yes, I've
removed them and blasted them clean with carb cleaner. Doesn't
help for long. And yes, I have a clean new fuel filter in place.
Any suggestions?
