In reference to the overdrive problem. I have seen similar problems on MGBs where the overdrive limit switch on the tranny would wear and cause the OD to act intermittently. The switch prevents the use of the OD in gears other than 4th. The switch had a round end which was depressed either by the shift linkage or shift fork rods and the rounded end would eventually wear flat. Don't know whether this was used with Triumph or not but it might be worth a shot. Dale Osterndorf dostern@bev.net |
