Yes it can be replaced in situ, I did it on my Herald once, but it is'nt easy as you have to remove the radiator, timing cover, timing chain & wheels, then support the engine on jack and remove the engine front plate complete with mounts. And then you've got to get the timing back in the right place! Good luck! Keith Bennett |
