As I remember, it sticks quite well to clean metal, but I haven't
had a long term exposure yet. It does stick like crazy to the rusted
areas, though, and the resin seems to act as a terrific binder for the
loose surface. They even suggest using it as a resin for fiberglass
cloth or mat, which I tried but found to be a little awkward, as the
POR is thinner than the usual fiberglass epoxy resin. I have also used
it on parts of exhaust systems that don't get too hot, such as from the
muffler back. The silver color changes to a dark coppery bronze, but
it doesn't seem to deteriorate much. Where it gets really hot it does
burn off, though.
