Quick intro

Hello there!  My name is Ean Houts, and I'm about to buy an '80 Spitfire.

The car has sat for about 5 years, but was running well when it was parked.  The
only major component it needs is a tranny - does anyone know of or have a 4 
speed overdrive they would be willing to part with?  If not, what are the things
to look out for when buying one?
