For the benefit of big list members who are wondering, we've been talking about
floating cranks and thrust washers (or lack thereof) on the triumphs list, and
the email is spilling over to british-cars in mid-thread.
One of the reliability/race modifications I've heard about is to use full
circle thrust washers. I'm about to pull my 1500 Spitfidget block for
balancing and other work, and would like to do this mod. Does anyone know
anything about full circle thrust washers? Is this a brand name or are they
actually full circles? If the latter, how on earth do you get them on/in?
I remember reading that some special machining was needed to install them.
