Low resistance coil?

The installation instructions for my new electronic ingnition kit
warn not to use it with a low-resistance coil.  Does anyone know
if a Lucas Sport Coil is a low-resistance coil?  It specs a low-
resistance coil at 1 Ohm, how would I measure that (from the + lead
to the - lead?).
