Jim,
Rons photo does a good job of showing the later style rim introduced for
Tiger production. The triangular rib adjacent to the stud hole was for
reinforcement to stop the studs pulling through.
These wheels are not Tiger specific, they were rolled out across Rootes
production, but the mod was for the Tigers.
The date stamp will let you know if its a Tiger production period,
obviously post 67 wheels (probably post 66) would not have been on a Tiger
from new.
Also re: stock colour, the MKI/Ia used the same finish as the Alpines, the
rims are satin black inside the rim and on the back.
The fronts are painted "foam grey" a sort cold off white, with overspray
going through the holes onto the rear.
